Compassion

I know you are hurting,

I can feel your pain.

Every tear you shed,

I shed just the same.

I know your confusion,

I understand your fear,

I feel your apprehension,

When I hold you near.

My heart beats for you,

Your feelings I will share,

In life and even death,

I’ll always be there.

You may not believe me,

But what I say is true,

My love is everlasting,

My life I gave for you.
