When I Was Young

When I was young I used to say,

I wish that I was older.

Now I say every day,

I wish that I were younger.

When I was young I used to play,

I used to dance and sing.

I had fun no matter if,

It was fall or spring.

Now those days are gone,

And I can only ream,

About those days of long ago,

So far away they seem.
