Until I Met You

I thought I knew love,

Thought I'd been there before,

Then I gazed at your face,

And found there's so much more.

In your eyes I found peace,

In your smile I found joy,

Your words spoke of kindness,

That so very few enjoy.

Your hair was aglow,

With the light of the night,

Never in my life,

Have I seen such I sight.

Have I not known Love?

Can it really be true?

That I've not tasted life,

Until I met you?

Am I just now learning,

What wonders there can be,

Now my eyes are open,

Just now I start to see.

That love is much more,

Than I ever really knew,

That is, at least, my dear,

Until I met you.
