Did You Get My Letter

Did you get my letter,

Just the other day?

Have you read those words,

I so longed to say?

Did you get my Letter,

Written from my heart?

Those things I wanted,

To say from the start.

Did you get my letter?

Will you write to me?

I suppose that I’ll,

Just have to wait and see.

Did you get my letter?

Did you even care?

You went away,

And my heart followed you there.

Did you get my letter,

Although it was late?

Don’t think that our parting,

Was only fate.

Did you get my letter,

Sealed with my true love?

Sent to the one,

Who was sent from above.

Did you get my letter,

Filled with pain and tears?

Emotions I’ve saved up,

For several years.

Did you get my letter?

Did it make you cry?

You left without a word,

I still don’t know why.
