Carpe Diem

Some people live extraordinary lives,

They are always doing something,

Every day and every night.

They are people that you see,

Making dreams come true,

Don’t sit around and do nothing,

For one day that could be you.

We never know what kinds of things,

Each day might have in store,

It always seems,

No matter how much we do,

There’s always more.

If daily routines rule our lives,

We’ll dig ourselves a hole,

We’ll never reach our potential,

We will never reach our goals.

Carpe diem, seize the day,

Don’t let it go by,

Don’t let it slip away.

There is nothing we can’t do,

There is no place we can’t go,

There’s no one in this whole wide world,

That we can’t get to know.

We may not succeed,

In all that we do,

But as long as we keep trying,

Every day will seem brand new.

There’s new things to experience,

And memories to be made,

Some are good and some are bad,

But we can’t be afraid.

We can’t go on living,

In fear that we might fall,

We’ve got to take some chances,

Or we won’t be living at all.
