Eve of Confusion

Visions float before you,

Do you know what’s real?

How can you believe in,

Those things you cannot feel?

Your thoughts have betrayed you,

As you lie awake tonight.

Overwhelming your desire,

To even try to fight.

Confusion tries to take you,

Your mind has taken leave,

Your senses slowly slipping,

Away from you this eve.

Numbness fills your body,

And blackness fills your mind,

Pierced by the coldness,

This life you’ll leave behind.
